Early Career Seminar

As part of the organisation of the 29th CESH Congress to be held in Rouen in June 2026, the committee is organising a PhD Students and Early Career Academics Seminar ahead of the conference, on Monday 15 June 2026. The aim of this session is to support meetings between young European researchers who are likely to meet regularly, particularly within the framework of the CESH, while facilitating scientific and friendly exchanges. It is organised in three stages: a welcome/coffee break; a time for discussion and team-building games; and then a presentation by members of the editorial committees of sports history journals, including that of the CESH.

It will take place at the Maison de l'Université (Place Emile Blondel, ‘Campus’ bus stop) on the Mont-Saint-Aignan campus.

Here is an overview of the program:

1:00-1:30 p.m.: Welcome
1:30-2:30 p.m.: Icebreaker
2:30-3:30 p.m.: Fun game
3:30-4 p.m.: Coffee break
4-4:30 p.m.: Presentation of SFHS and CESH
4:30-5:45 p.m.: Round table on publications in sports history

For those who wish to continue this warm gathering, we will end the day with a drink.

Further information will be published as soon as possible.
